A teenage boy was arrested by Fargo police after he apparently assaulted his mother in the parking lot at a Fargo hotel early Monday morning.
The 15-year-old boy, from Fountain, Colo., pointed a gun at his mother and later fired shots into the air while outside Quality Inn, 301 3rd Ave. N., Fargo, according to police reports.
Police received a call regarding gun shots at about 1:03 a.m. and arrested the boy, without incident, about a block from the Quality Inn.
Officers referred the boy to juvenile court and asked that he be charged with reckless endangerment, terrorizing and discharging a firearm in city limits. Juvenile court records are not public.
