The first 1,500 people who donate blood next week in North Dakota and Minnesota will receive a $3 Tesoro gift card.
Tesoro donated 1,500 gift cars for its "Give a Pint - Get A Gallon" campaign, a promotion in response to an increased need for blood donors.
The promotion is Monday through Sept. 24 at North Dakota and Minnesota blood drives and centers.
Donors can donate at United Blood Services centers in Fargo, West Fargo, Minot and Bismarck, N.D., as well as at any of the 30 blood drives scheduled that week in both states.
Basic eligibility requirements are: Donors must be healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have valid photo identification. Donors under 18 must have a parental consent form.
