WILLISTON, N.D. - A man arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at a Tioga, N.D., crew camp is expected to appear in court today on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Victor Scott Lamont, 24, Lufkin, Texas, also faces two charges of terrorizing for allegedly threatening two additional victims at the Wanzek camp along U.S. Highway 2.
Lamont is accused in Williams County District Court of fatally shooting Gerald Schild of Katy, Texas, in the upper torso. He also is accused of shooting Travis Lomax of Fort Smith, Ark., in the abdomen during the shooting that was reported at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at the camp. Lomax was treated and released for his gunshot wound.
Lamont is charged with murder, a Class AA felony, and attempted murder, a Class A felony.
During the course of the investigation, authorities learned that Lamont also threatened two other men, said Verlan Kvande, chief deputy for the Williams County Sheriff's Office.

Lamont is accused in court records of pointing a firearm at Jacob Mustard, pulling the trigger and manipulating the slide, and for pointing a firearm at Greg Storms. The charges of terrorizing are Class C felonies.
All five men worked on pipeline construction for Michels Corp., a Wisconsin company that subleases units in the Wanzek camp, said Thad Nation, a spokesman for Michels.
The Williams County Sheriff's Office has not released additional details about what led to the shooting.
