A couple of reputable Web sites show that the Southern rock band The Black Crowes will be playing Fargo in December.

Pollstar.com - a leading Web site in the concert industry - and The Black Crowes' official Web site, www.theblackcrowes.com , each shows the band scheduled to play The Venue at The Hub on Dec. 9.

Neither site lists a ticket price, but the band's Web site does state that tickets for the show will go on sale on Sept. 19 through www.tickets.com .

Led by the sometimes clashing brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, The Black Crowes used a mix Southern rock sensibilities and R&B grooves in hit songs like "Hard to Handle" and "Remedy." The band's most recent record is "Warpaint."
