Gov. John Hoeven announced Friday that the Thompson Rural Fire Protection District will receive a $76,401 grant through the 2002 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
The program is a combined effort between the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Congress to enhance basic fire service across the nation.
More than 5,000 departments will receive more than $360 million this year through the program.
