Tipster foils Moorhead burglary

Moorhead police said Tuesday a tip from a citizen Monday night foiled a burglary at Remember When Printing & Publishing.

A citizen reported people carrying items out of the Townsite Center building at 810 4th Ave. S. about 11:09 p.m. Monday. The suspect dropped the items and fled after spotting the tipster, according to Sgt. Toby Krone.

Responding police discovered a safe believed to have been wheeled out of the building using an office chair, Krone said.

There were signs of forced entry into the office of Remember When Printing & Publishing, located in Suite 140 of the building complex, he said.

The burglary is still under investigation. No suspect information was immediately available, Krone said.
