A severe storm in eastern North Dakota today is producing a number of reported tornadoes touching down.
A tornado reportedly touched down about three miles outside of Hope, N.D., this afternoon, according to Steele County Sheriff Dep. Justin Hoag.
Tornado sirens were blaring about 4:45 p.m. near Mayville.
A tornado was reported about 5 p.m. just west of Interstate 29 near Grand Forks, said WDAY meteorologist John Wheeler.
The storm is moving north through the state. Tornado warnings are issued in Steele, Grand Forks, Barnes, Eddy and Nelson counties.
