The lawn tractor believed to be stolen from a home in Oakport Township north of Moorhead was moved out of the building it was in by a contractor hired to clean the building, Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist said in a news release Monday.
Clay County authorities had asked for information from the public about the suspected theft on Sunday, thinking that the tractor and several attachments had been stolen.
The contractor returned the Cub Cadet and all the accompanying equipment to the owner, according to the news release.
