Fargo police wrote 294 citations during a five-day traffic blitz last week.
The majority of the violations were for speed, red light and seat belt violations, according to a news release.
The department stepped up traffic enforcement from Aug. 13 to 17 to focus on violations that typically contribute to traffic crashes, the release said.
More blitzes are planned for later this year, the release said.
