GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers handed out 1,408 tickets over the July Fourth holiday period, up 375 from last year.
Troopers issued 973 speeding tickets, compared to 731 last year. There also were 17 more drunken driving arrests, for a total of 55.
