JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Two Jamestown residents have been charged after allegedly stealing more than $9,000 in merchandise from seven Jamestown stores last summer.
Eric Kagle, 25, and Holly Maxwell, 26, both Jamestown, made initial court appearances earlier this month. Their addresses are unknown.
Kagle is charged with seven theft of property charges and two dealing in stolen property charges.
From around July 1 through Aug. 5, Kagle is accused of stealing merchandise from six businesses and dealing in stolen property in two businesses, all in Jamestown from July 1 through Aug. 5.
Kagle's charges are six Class C felonies, two Class B misdemeanors and one Class A misdemeanor.

Maxwell is facing six theft of property charges and one dealing in stolen property charge. She is accused of stealing merchandise from six businesses during the same time period.
Maxwell's charges are four Class C felonies, two Class B misdemeanors and one Class A misdemeanor.
Seven stores were affected in the cases, according to police.
"Items were basically shoplifted from seven stores, keeping some of the property for themselves and selling some to a second-hand electronic store and a local pawn shop," said Detective Sgt. Leroy Gross, Jamestown Police Department.
In total approximately $9,385 worth of goods were allegedly stolen.
Gross worked the case with Sgt. Justin Blinsky and Officer Gary Jensen.
A preliminary hearing for Kagle has been set for Dec. 6 and no date has yet been set for Maxwell.
A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by a year in prison and a $2,000 fine. A Class B misdemeanor is punishable by 30 days in prison and a $1,000 fine.
