PRAIRIE VIEW TOWNSHIP, Minn. – Two Fargoans were hospitalized after a crash in rural Wilkin County on Monday, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The driver of a Kia and his passenger were injured when the driver failed to yield as he attempted a U-turn on County Highway 30 near Interstate 94 and was T-boned by a Chevrolet truck, the authorities said.
Abdilkareem Ali Shire, 23 and his passenger in the Kia, 52-year-old Salah Ahmed Abdulle, were taken to Essentia Health in Fargo after the crash at about 8:30 p.m.
The driver of the truck, 41-year-old Klara Ellin Julsrud of Fergus Falls, and her passengers, 75-year-old Sonja Ingebord Kulmann of Barnesville and 13-year-old Destoni Lilian-Marie Julsrud of Fergus Falls, were not injured.
Both vehicles were deemed a total loss.
