PERHAM, Minn. - Two people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash near here about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol:

Four vehicles were traveling south on Highway 78 and approaching Highway 10 when a pickup driven by Robert Romaine, 71, of Ottertail, rear-ended a car driven by Todd Budke, 57, of Erhard, forcing Budke’s vehicle to the right shoulder of the highway.

Romaine’s pickup continued south and collided with an SUV driven by Sharon Krause, 69, of Ottertail, which in turn rear-ended a car driven by Brendan Hendricks, 24, of Richville.

Krause and Budke were taken to a hospital in Perham with injuries that were not life-threatening, the patrol said. No other details were available.
