Two people injured in a two-vehicle crash in Clay County Sunday remained hospitalized Monday.

The driver of one of the vehicles Thomas Fink, 36, Zell, S.D., was listed in guarded condition in MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.

The driver of the other vehicle, Grandan Barbee, 22, Baker, Minn., was treated and released from Innovis Hospital in Fargo following the crash, which happened about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 9 and Clay County Road 26, about 7 miles south of Felton.

The Minnesota State Patrol said Fink was driving west on County Road 26 when he failed to yield to Barbee's vehicle, which was driving south on Highway 9.

Three passengers in Barbee's vehicle were taken to hospitals after the crash and one remained hospitalized Monday.

Karen Knutson, 21, Felton, Minn., was listed in satisfactory condition at MeritCare Hospital.

The other passengers, Caleb Knutson, 2, and Haley Knutson, 5, both Felton, were treated and released from area hospitals.

According to the State Patrol, Fink was the only person involved who was not wearing a seat belt.
