KINDRED, N.D. - A National Guard rapid response team is helping to plug a minor breach in an earthen dike at a farmyard on the southwest side of Kindred.
Crews were called at 5:30 a.m. to the Bob and Tammy Schmidt residence on the southwest side of Kindred, said Sgt. Judy Tollefson, commander of Cass County's Tactical Operations Center.
Water leaked through the dike but did not threaten the home, she said. Some livestock had to be relocated.
