Enrollment is up this spring at eastern North Dakota colleges and universities, coming off a fall semester with record enrollments.
North Dakota State University reported 13,533 students today, setting a spring enrollment record for the 12th consecutive year.
It's slightly less than a 1 percent increase from last spring's count of 13,411 students.
Today was the day campuses in the North Dakota University System reported official spring enrollment.
The University of North Dakota has its largest spring enrollment ever with 13,458 students. That's a 5.7 percent increase over last year's spring enrollment of 12,733 students.

North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton reported an enrollment of 2,639, a nearly 10 percent increase over last spring's count of 2,401.
The enrollment includes 196 students who attend classes at the NDSCS Fargo campus.
Valley City State University reported a spring enrollment of 1,221, an 18 percent increase over last spring's count of 1,034.
For both NDSCS and VCSU, the spring enrollment marks a record since at least 1993, the first spring the campuses were on the semester system.
Mayville State University also reported its largest spring enrollment ever with 934 students.
That's a 13.2 percent increase over last spring's count of 825.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system reports final enrollment after the 30th day of the semester.
