FARGO -- North Dakota Democrats concluded their state convention without an endorsed candidate for attorney general.
The nomination and endorsement for the race was planned for 9:20 a.m. today, but then delayed to take place later in the day at the call of party Chairman Mark Schneider.
However, the nomination never came. Schneider made a motion this afternoon giving the party's executive committee the authority to endorse a candidate when one is found.
Schneider said he's confident the party will have a viable candidate by early April. All candidates must file for office by April 9.
Tax commissioner and attorney general were the only two seats where Democrats did not have a declared candidate going into this weekend's convention. Cynthia Kaldor was endorsed as the Democrats' tax commissioner candidate Friday evening.
