GLYNDON, Minn. - A fire late Tuesday afternoon heavily damaged a rural Glyndon home, though no one was in the house at the time and there were no injuries, said Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist.

The home near the intersection of Highways 10 and 9 is owned by Kevin Nathe, who operates the nearby Buffalo River Race Park, Bergquist said.

The fire was reported about 4:20 p.m. by a passerby, according to Bergquist.

Flames could be seen coming from the roof of the home when firefighters arrived, but Bergquist said it was not known what started the blaze.

He said units from the Glyndon, Dilworth and Hawley fire departments responded to the fire.
