WASHINGTON - As the state of North Dakota considers bills meant to curb sex trafficking in the state, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed 12 bills meant to reduce human trafficking throughout the country.

If passed by the Senate and signed by President Obama, the bills would improve law enforcement, victim support, foster care, awareness training, and welfare.

“These 12 bills represent 12 different directions coming at the same problem,” said U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D. “Each perspective is an important one, it deals with a different aspect of this scourge of human sex trafficking in our country.”
