Victim says pain pills taken during home invasion

FARGO - Police here are investigating a reported strong-arm robbery Tuesday in which two men broke into the victim's house, put him in a choke hold and stole his pain medication.

FARGO - Police here are investigating a reported strong-arm robbery Tuesday in which two men broke into the victim's house, put him in a choke hold and stole his pain medication.

The victim told police he has a broken hip and is on pain pills.

He said two men broke into his house at about 10 p.m. and demanded that he give them pain pills.

When he refused, one of the men hit him in the side of the head and put him in a choke hold, and the other man grabbed a bottle of pills, he told police.

The victim knows one of the suspects, Sgt. Joe Anderson said.

The victim did not request medical attention, and no physical marks were noted, Anderson said.

The incident was reported in the 1100 block of 13th Avenue North.
