SANTA CLARA, Calif. – A video from Monday night's Vikings-49ers game shows a handful of San Francisco fans scuffling with and kicking a Vikings fan in the parking lot.
The video was posted to Facebook early Tuesday morning by Brandon Cosio, a 49ers fan from the Bay Area.
He described the Vikings fan jawing with San Francisco supporters as people made their way to their cars. At one point, the fan turned to a group and said, "Any of you (expletives) want some?" Cosio wrote.
As the Vikings fan turned to walk away, a 49ers fan in a black shirt punched him and took him to the ground. Another man wearing a Jerry Rice jersey ran in and started kicking the downed Vikings fan.
A number of bystanders intervened, including a security guard who pushed off the assailants, helped the Vikings fan to his feet and led him away.
Cosio said police were "nowhere to be found," but wrote that he hopes authorities can identify and arrest the people involved. A Santa Clara police spokesman said the department is investigating.
The video,
which was picked up by Deadspin.com
