MOORHEAD-The city of Moorhead and River Keepers are seeking volunteers to help plant 1,500 trees and shrubs along the Red River near Bridgeview Park, 1002 7th St. N.

The dates and times of the scheduled plantings are: May 22 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.; and June 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Strategically planting trees along the river creates a buffer, maintains river bank stability, encourages growth of native plants, improves water quality and provides habitat for wildlife.
For safety reasons, one adult must be present for every five youth in grades K-8 and one adult for every three youth in kindergarten or younger.
For more information or to volunteer, call (701) 235-2895 or email jessica@riverkeepers.org .
