FARGO - On Tuesday, March 7, voters in Fargo will decide how much taxpayer money should go to public schools.

Currently, property tax dollars for the school district are set at a specific rate.

If voters pass the measure, the number of mills won't change, but it would allow the mills to be tied to property values.

So, if the assessed value of your home rises, so does the amount that you could pay for a mill.

Fargo Public Schools says it may have to make significant cuts if the measure fails.
