GRAND FORKS - A Warren, Minn., man was injured Tuesday morning after the semi-trailer he was driving hit an approach near Adams, N.D.

Duke Garfve, 42, was driving a 2009 Volvo semi westbound on state Highway 17 at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, hauling gravel to a job site. Garfve drifted off the road, over the eastbound lane and into the ditch. The semi then struck an approach in the ditch, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Garfve was partially ejected from the semi, and he was transported to Park River (N.D.) Hospital. He was charged with care required in operation of a motor vehicle, the patrol said.
