Water conference on drought in Red River Valley

FARGO - The Garrison Diversion Conservancy District has scheduled its third annual conference from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 1 at Ramada Plaza and Suites, 1635 42nd St. S.

This is an opportunity to learn about the threat of drought in the Red River Valley and what is being done to minimize the impacts.

The Garrison Diversion Conservancy District is working on the Red River Valley Water Supply Project to make sure the valley has a reliable water source during a prolonged drought. The conference will provide information about the project.

Registration for the conference is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.
