Water main break near downtown Fargo

FARGO -- Early Tuesday morning, Feb. 23, water bubbled up steadily from below a street near St. Mary's Cathedral on Broadway in downtown Fargo.

According to Red River Regional Dispatch, a water main break was called in at around 4 a.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and 6th Avenue North.

Fargo police and Fargo Fire were never dispatched.

Instead a call was placed to the water department to investigate.

The City of Fargo said the street will be blocked off for most of the day so crews can fix the break.
