Fargo Fire Department crews responded late Monday morning to a water main break that left standing water pooling on Main Avenue near downtown Fargo.

A passer-by called authorities around 11:40 a.m., reporting water gushing from ReechCraft Production at 1425 Main Ave.

Fire crews had to unhinge the door of the business in order to gain access to the building because no one was there at the time.

Crews reported it was "all dry" in the basement of the building, Fargo Fire Capt. LeRoy Skarloken said on scene.

Water was visibly bubbling from a sewer drain near the building and running off into Main Avenue, although traffic did not appear affected.

Skarloken said the runoff was likely fresh water and didn't pose a threat to anyone's health or nearby properties.
