Two WDAY radio employees were laid off today as part of a restructuring of operations for the station.

Al Aamodt, a 35-year employee of WDAY and an anchor for the radio station in recent years, and program manager and "Morning Buzz" co-host Ben Ziegler, were let go.

In addition, WDAY radio will realign some of its programming beginning Monday, General Manager Kevin Weaver announced today.

Among the changes:

The station will simulcast WDAY-TV's "First News" from 6-7 a.m.

Tracy Briggs will then host a daily news show 7-9 a.m., assisted by Erick Johnson, who anchors the station's newscasts and the "News at Noon."
