The explosion happened at an oil field salt water disposal site. It was so powerful, it sent a huge tank flying into the air. One man was there, but wasn't hurt. Billowing smoke caused an evacuation order for the area around White-Owl Disposal. As of 6:00 last night, Watford City Police said the fire was still active. WDAY is working to find out its status this morning, and what caused the explosion. Crews are letting the fire burn itself out so salt water doesn't spread and contaminate the ground.

GANG MEMBERS SPOTTED IN BISMARCK AND MINOT

Police are now sending out a warning, especially for women, that gang members could be targeting you and your belongings.

Recent gang members were spotted in the Bismarck and Minot area. It appears the Florida based gang has not set foot in Fargo, but investigators say it wouldn't surprise them if they head east. The gang ripped through the city last year, making off with nearly a dozen purses. Some had bonus items like a gun and a 10-thousand dollar pair of diamond earrings. Fargo P-D did arrest seven gang members who were looking to use stolen credit cards. The thieves target women mainly at daycares and fitness centers. It doesn't matter if the doors are locked. They pull up, smash the window, and swipe the purse without even leaving their car.
