FUNDRAISER SET UP FOR FAMILY WHO LOST HOME IN FIRE

The community in Dilworth is coming together after a family's home was badly burned in a fire.

A GoFundMe page is set up for the Kjersten family. Photos of the house show it's charred from floor to roof. The page says they don't know what caused the fire, but the family is safe. It raised more than $500 in it's first day.

CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF TO RETIRE

Clay County will get a new sheriff at the beginning of the year as the current one retires.

Bill Bergquist has been the sheriff for the last 16 years. He'll step down in January when the new sheriff, Mark Empting, takes over. Bergquist began his career in law enforcement shortly after he graduated high school in 1976. He was elected Sheriff of Clay County in November of 2002. A retirement party is planned for Bergquist on December 27th at the Dilworth Community Center, starting at 6:30 p.m..

BISON TICKETS GO ON SALE

Student tickets go on sale this morning for the FCS semifinal game.

NDSU will get a showdown with South Dakota State at 7 o'clock Friday night. Students can purchase tickets for 6-dollars. The game comes at the conclusion of finals week on campus-- so the athletics department is making a push to get students in the stands for the game. Tickets to the general public will go on sale Wednesday morning at 7. Season ticket holders have until Tuesday at 5 to reserve their seats.
