DEAD BODY FOUND AT GRAND FORKS TRUCK STOP

Detectives in Grand Forks are investigating after a man was found dead sitting in a vehicle at a truck stop.

On Monday, January 5th, officers were called to the Stamart parking lot on North 47th Street to do a welfare check on the man at about 5:30 p.m..The area near Interstate-29 is a popular spot for travel. Police tell WDAY they aren't sure how long the man or the vehicle were there. They say there is no reason to believe there's a threat to the public and they aren't looking for anyone. Authorities say they won't release the man's name until his family is notified.

WEST FARGO MAN SENTENCED IN STRIP CLUB SHOOTING

A West Fargo man will serve about four months in jail for firing gunshots outside a Fargo strip club.

Pedro Dagdag III was sentenced to 120 days in jail yesterday in Cass County Court. Dagdag was convicted on counts of reckless endangerment, preventing arrest, and fleeing police. It all stems from an incident at The Northern Gentleman's Club back in April of last year. Court documents state Dagdag was asked to leave the club and fired a gun at the building. Later, when police tried to pull him over he took off, but was eventually arrested by West Fargo Police.

GOFUNDME FOR BONANZAVILLE RAISES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

A GoFundMe page has raised over $2,000 after a popular historic site in Fargo was vandalized.

Bonanzaville says someone broke in, turned on water spigots, and left them running sometime on New Year's Eve. Around 200,000 gallons of water flooded the property. By the time staff noticed, all the water was threatening the foundations of four historic buildings there. They hope to raise $2,500 dollars to pay for repairs and the water bill.
