CBO
Saturday
Talk about good connections. When a member of the Minneapolis-based horn band CBO bumped into the Bush twins on a flight last fall, he wished them luck in the campaign and suggested his band could play the Inaugural Ball if their father, President George W. Bush, was re-elected. (The band's proper name after all, Casablanca Orchestra, translates into "White House Orchestra.") After W's victory the band got the nod to play one of the balls. The group won't be rolling out "Hail to the Chief" when it plays Playmakers Saturday night, but it'll pump out the same high-energy brass attack that brought some bustle to the Beltway. Music starts at 9 p.m. with tickets at $8 for this 21 and older show. (701) 232-6767.
