Saturday - Minneapolis singer-songwriter Courtney Yasmineh's music is a study in delicious contrasts. Her voice, which has invited comparisons to Joan Osborne and Lucinda Williams, is the perfect blend of spunky grit and soft sensuality. Her lyrics range from girl-power defiance to quavering vulnerability. The sound is a seamless blend of pensive blues guitars, jaunty pop beats and rock edge. The twists are even in the song titles on her new release, "Sufi Line: Live My Life in the Light Now" leads into "Blindsided Again." Yasmineh performs at the Cork 'N Cleaver in Fargo, starting at 9 p.m. Saturday. There is no cover for this all-ages show. (701) 237-6790.
