Weekend Watch: F-M Symphony concert with Ralph Votapek

Pianist Ralph Votapek took the gold medal at the first Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Enough said. OK, just in case you need more, he also won the Naumburg Award, has been a soloist with the Chicago Symphony 16 times, has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center and, last year, added the album he did with his wife to his list of recording projects. What's more, this weekend, he'll visit the Plains to perform at the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra's next Masterworks Concert at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the North Dakota State University Festival Concert Hall.
