Saturday - With songs stretching to break the 3-minute barrier and the clang of the brawny chords that kick off the first few tracks, Shotgun Monday's debut full-length, "Read Compare Adjust," seems like it's going to be a punk album. But the Twin Cites band (pictured above) - whose four members include former Fargoan, drummer Brooks Nagel (left), and guitarist/singer Jon Kelson (second from right), formerly of Calvin Krime - lacks too much zeal to fly that flag. The album's fourth track, "Joli Rouge," is paced at faucet-drip speed for nearly its entirety and is followed by a lush instrumental ballad. These guys do occasionally fire off sonic shotguns, but only at volumes and speeds appropriate for a Monday. Dude Bazooka and Burnt Sienna will open the $5, ID-only show at 10 p.m. at The Aquarium.
