Sunday

Vanilla Ice is a rapper of many flavors. The man born Rob Van Winkle rose to fame in the early 1990s looping Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure" into his signature hit, "Ice Ice Baby." He returned in 1994 looking for another kind of hit, with the dreadlocked and dope-smoking "Mind Blowin'." Seven years later, the hits were harder on the rap rock mixer "Bipolar." The Iceman dishes up a variety of musical tastes when he returns to Playmakers this Sunday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with music starting about 7:30. Tickets are a cool $17.50 for this all-ages show.
