BISMARCK — First lady Kathryn Burgum and husband Gov. Doug Burgum will host the fourth annual "Recovery Reinvented" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 28, in partnership with North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division.
Featured speakers include media personality and addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky and New York Times best-selling author David Sheff, who wrote the memoir "Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction."
The virtual event focuses on changing attitudes toward addiction, supporting innovation in virtual recovery support services and telehealth, illuminating the connection between mental health, addiction and Adverse Childhood Experiences, and inspiring employers to create recovery-friendly workplaces.
