A mobile home fire Thursday in West Fargo left a woman and two children homeless but uninjured.

Assistant Fire Chief Del Sprecher said one end of the mobile home at 1220 Starr Ave. was burning when fire units arrived about 12:30 p.m. Neighbors said they heard what sounded like an explosion. Nobody was home at the time.

A deputy state fire marshal investigated the home, but the cause of the fire will likely be ruled undetermined, Sprecher said.

The Red Cross was helping the family, who police and fire departments could not identify.
