The West Fargo Public Library is among a handful of North Dakota libraries now offering patrons the option of borrowing audiobooks, eBooks and videos through the Web.
The free service launched Sept. 17 and is open to anyone with a West Fargo library card.
Patrons can check out and download the digital media at www.westfargolibrary.org .
Library Director Sandra Hannahs said the service has taken off, and they're looking to expand their selection to meet the demand.
She said about a quarter of the movies and half of the audiobooks and eBooks are checked out through the Web-based service, which is powered by a digital distributor called OverDrive.

Libraries in Grand Forks, Williston and Dickinson are among the other libraries offering the service in North Dakota so far, she said.
