West Fargo man held after hammer incident

A West Fargo man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after allegedly hitting his wife with a hammer in a Fargo hotel room Sunday morning, police said.

A West Fargo man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after allegedly hitting his wife with a hammer in a Fargo hotel room Sunday morning, police said.

Fuat Rahimic, 54, was being held in the Cass County Jail in connection with the incident at the Holiday Inn that was reported to police shortly after 11 a.m., said Sgt. Carlos Nestler.

Police believe Rahimic hit his wife in the head with a hammer after they had been arguing, Nestler said. Rahimic's wife had some cuts and bruises, but her injuries were nonlife-threatening, police said.
