West Fargo police identify driver in Friday's hit-and-run

WEST FARGO - Police here have identified 20-year-old Justin Taalgaard of West Fargo as the driver of Friday morning's hit-and-run, Lt. Duane Sall said Monday in a news release.

WEST FARGO - Police here have identified 20-year-old Justin Taalgaard of West Fargo as the driver of Friday morning's hit-and-run, Lt. Duane Sall said Monday in a news release.

Police believe Taalgaard was westbound on 15th Avenue East in his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control and hit a garage at 151 15th Ave. E., causing substantial damage to the structure and vehicles inside. He then allegedly left the scene before police were called around 3:15 a.m.

Speed is considered a factor in the crash.

Charges against Taalgaard for leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage will be forwarded to the Cass County state's attorney's office, the release said.
