The West Fargo School Board chose three superintendent finalists out of four candidates on Tuesday.

Former Fargo superintendent and current Hutchinson (Kan.) Superintendent David Flowers, Perham-Dent (Minn.) Superintendent Tamara Uselman and West Fargo Assistant Superintendent Louise Dardis will move on to the next round of interviews.

Northern Cass Superintendent Allen Burgad was the fourth candidate and was interviewed by the board this week, but wasn't "the right fit for our district," board President Tom Gentzkow said.

He was commended by board members for leading a laptop initiative in the district, having good academic qualifications and having good relationships with school board members there.

Now, community members, school board candidates, students, staff and administrators will interview the three finalists, starting with Uselman on Thursday.
