BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. - Tom Matejka, the sheriff of Wilkin County for the past 20 years, announced Monday he will not seek re-election this fall.
Matejka, who served for 15 years as the county's chief deputy before becoming sheriff, thanked the residents of Wilkin County for their support over the years.
He will retire Jan. 3.
