With session starting Jan. 3, here's how you can contact your North Dakota legislators

InForum News Brief

FARGO — With the North Dakota Legislature convening Thursday, Jan. 3, residents are reminded that they have two options to get legislative information or leave a message for their legislator.

The first option is to call the incoming toll-free number 1-888-635-3447, or 1-888-328-3373 in Bismarck. For hearing-impaired individuals, the TTY toll-free number is 1-800-366-6888 to reach a relay operator.

The telephone attendant will be able to give information regarding bills and resolutions. If the caller wishes to directly contact their legislator, a message will be delivered to the legislator.

The second option is to visit the legislative branch website to find bill status information and leave a general message for legislators or a viewpoint on legislation.

A legislative bill tracking system and legislative branch video are also available on the website. The bill tracking system allows users to follow individual bills while the legislative branch video allows users to watch live video of floor sessions as well as archived and indexed floor sessions.
