BISMARCK - Jurors heard six witnesses testify this morning during Moe Gibbs' second murder trial about the day Mindy Morgenstern was killed.
Friends described the horror of finding the 22-year-old woman's body in her apartment with a belt wrapped around her neck and her throat cut, the room drenched with the smell of Pine-Sol, which had been doused on her body.
Gibbs is facing a Class AA felony charge for Morgenstern's Sept. 13, 2006 slaying in her Valley City, N.D. apartment.
A jury deadlocked in July over whether he had killed the Valley City State University senior.
Testimony will continue this afternoon.
