RUGBY, N.D.-A Michigan woman was arrested for driving drunk with a 12-year-old passenger after their car started on fire near here.

According to a North Dakota Highway Patrol report, officers were called to a vehicle fire on Highway 2, east of Rugby, around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
When they arrived, both the woman and girl were outside the 1997 Buick and unhurt.

The woman, 32-year-old Faith Labissoniere of Saginaw, Mich., said she was on her way to Michigan to see family. She was arrested and taken into custody for misdemeanor DUI with a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said.

The car is considered totaled and was towed from the scene. The girl was placed under the care of social services, the report said.
