MINNEAPOLIS - A 20-year-old woman was killed in a fall from an abandoned grain elevator early Sunday, police said.
Police were called to the elevator around 3:45 a.m. and were met by a 911 caller who said a friend of his had fallen from the top of the elevator.
Germain Juliette Vigeant of St. Paul was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office.
The caller said he and Vigeant were climbing on the top of the elevator when she fell, police said.
The elevator is believed to be more than 100 feet tall.
