A 42-year-old woman was found dead on a Greyhound bus in Fargo early Friday morning.

Fargo police sent the body of Tammy Jo Chambers, Lakewood, Wash., to Bismarck for an autopsy to determine her cause of death. But "there's no immediate sign of foul play," Police Lt. Tod Dahle said.

Chambers apparently boarded the bus in Seattle and was going to change buses in Fargo to continue on to Aberdeen, S.D., Dahle said. She was in the process of moving to Aberdeen.

"People on the bus knew she was alive in western North Dakota," he said. "They heard her snoring."

She asked to be awakened in Fargo to change buses. But when someone tried to wake her up here at 5:48 a.m. they discovered she had died, Dahle said.
