A Lake Park, Minn., woman was flown by helicopter to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo after the vehicle she was driving left a Clay County road and landed in a ravine Monday, the Clay County sheriff's department said.

Cheryl Anne Withers was driving a GMC Jimmy on Clay County 37 about 5 miles southeast of Hawley when the vehicle drove into a ditch, hit an approach and came to a stop in a small ravine at about 6:34 p.m., Lt. Stephen Landsem said.

About 30 minutes earlier, the Minnesota State Patrol had received a complaint about an erratic driver on U.S. Highway 10, Landsem said. The vehicle matched the description of Withers' vehicle, he said.

Withers, 53, was cited for DUI, Landsem said.

Her condition was not available from MeritCare Monday night.
