A 34-year-old woman who admitted she had sex with a 16-year-old boy will serve two weeks in jail and spend three years on probation.
Dawn Marie Kirby of Hannaford, N.D., pleaded guilty to sexual assault in Cass County District Court on Thursday and was sentenced to a year and a day, with all but 14 days suspended.
She'll also serve a three-year term on supervised probation and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Kirby was eight months pregnant when charged on March 24, 2010. She said the baby could be the victim's.
"I know what I did was wrong," Kirby said at the hearing. "It's something I deal with every day."
